Hello Uwingu Friends. Our website tech team has been working to provide new capabilities that many of you requested. Now we want to share three of those with everyone.

Find All Your Own Craters

1. Go to www.uwingu.com

2. Log in to your account

3. Navigate to the Mars page, then click the “Find My Craters, Districts, and Provinces” button located under the Mars Surface Viewer

4. Voila! Up pops a list of all of your craters

Socially Share Craters

We’ve made it easier to share your favorite crater names! Any named crater you find on the map – named by you or anyone else – can be shared through a variety of social networks.

Plus, we’ve recently added the ability to “Like” any crater on Facebook! Help increase the popularity of your favorite crater names and spread the word about Uwingu!

1. Explore the Mars map or search for a favorite crater name—yours or anyone’s

2. Click on the crater

3. When the info pops up, choose one of the icon buttons to share via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Email or other sites.

4. The result: Your friends, coworkers, and family will be able to see the feature you like. You can also let them know about new craters you name this way!

Help humanize Mars by adding a photo, logo, or other image to your account

1. Go to “My Account” button at the top right hand area of the site

2. Click the “Edit Profile” link located under your username

3. Scroll down to “Profile Picture” and upload a photo of yourself or something else you’d like to be your icon (and you can update this anytime)

4. At the bottom of the page, click the orange “Update Profile” button to save

5. As a result, your photo or icon image will show up in the crater pop up box for all the craters you’ve named
